About me

About Me I am a psychotherapist specialising in adolescent mental health, with a deep commitment to supporting young people through the often complex and challenging stages of growing up. I provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where young people feel heard, understood, and respected. I work with a wide range of issues affecting adolescents, including anxiety, school avoidance (EBSA), exam stress, low self-esteem, bullying, friendship difficulties, and emotional regulation. My approach is integrative and tailored to each young person’s unique needs, with the aim of helping them build resilience, develop self-awareness, and find healthier ways to cope. Where appropriate, I also involve families in the therapeutic process, offering guidance and support to improve communication and strengthen relationships. I believe that a collaborative, team-based approach — whether with parents, schools, or other professionals — is often the most effective way to bring about lasting change. Whether your child is struggling with daily pressures or facing more complex mental health difficulties, I offer a space where they can feel safe to explore what’s going on and begin to move forward. As well as my own private practice I am the school counsellor at Bohunt Secondary School in Horsham. I have worked in a sixth form college with students aged 16-19 and have a wealth of experience with adolescents and young people. I have also worked in a substance misuse centre alongside the concerned others of addicts to help them work through the pain of seeing a loved one who is suffering and how to carve their path out in life. I have a special interest in anxiety disorders. I work with clients to help them figure out where their anxiety has come from, what their triggers are and then work on strategies to overcome them. I find that many clients have thought there is something wrong with them until we explore together the reasons, life events and biology of the brain that has bought them to this point - the understanding of all these brings relief and a way forward with hope. It does not have to be this way and there is a different path to choose.
