Integrative psychologistAbout Me
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist based in Northampton. I offer psychological therapy and specialist assessment with both children and adults and work with individuals, parents and carers. This work aims to support people to better understand and cope with difficulties they may be experiencing so to improve psychological well being and quality of life. I have particular expertise in the areas of mental health, trauma and working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities.
As a clinical psychologist, I am trained in a number of different types of psychological therapy which enables me to tailor therapy to your specific needs. I will work with you to understand your goals and what therapy you feel will best fit for you and your needs. Therapies I offer and models I draw upon include:
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Behavioural approaches (including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour)
- Attachment theory
- Psychodynamic
- Solution Focused Therapy
- Compassion-focused Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Typically, if you are seeking psychological therapy, this will start with an initial assessment which aims to gain a better understanding of your difficulties or issues and think about what you would like to work on which approach best fits your needs. Psychological therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk about any difficulties or issues which may be causing you concern or distress. This may include:
- Depression and low mood
- Anxiety, panic and phobias
- Self harm and self-injurious behaviour
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Anger
- Trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Abuse
- Grief, bereavement and loss
- Personality difficulties
- Stress management
- Self esteem
- Childhood issues
- Relationship difficulties
- Self/personal development
- Behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour
I am also able to adapt therapy to meet the needs of children and adults with learning difficulties, learning disabilities, and autism and have skills in the assessmentof learning disabilities and autism.

Fees
Fees are set at £90 per 55 minute session for psychological assessment and treatment. Frequency of sessions can be either weekly or fortnightly to accommodate need and assist with managing the cost of therapy. Work is goal-focused and therapy options will be discussed at initial assessment to think about what therapy best fits not only your goals, but also your budget. Different therapies tend to require different number of sessions which also impacts on overall cost and can be discussed at initial assessment. There is no obligation to continue work following initial assessment if you do not feel it fits for you.
I offer set fees for specialist assessments such as autism and learning disability assessments. Please see my website for these fees.
