About Me

I am an integrative/bereavement counsellor based in London. I have experience working with various mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, anger, low self-confidence,  low self-esteem, phobia, post traumatic stress disorder and many more.

At present, I work privately on a one to one basis and I also do online sessions. I have worked with clients of all age groups and backgrounds and that has enriched my cultural perception of the world.

To gain further knowledge of my career, I also worked as a volunteer to Lewisham Bereavement Counselling for three years, seeing clients of all ages, from different parts of the world as mentioned above. Some clients were seen in the comfort of their homes, whilst others were seen in a GP surgery.

Additionally, to gain more experience in working with children, I volunteered as a school counsellor at St Gabriel's Secondary School, to help students with their academic, behaviour and relationship issues.

I use different approaches to work with clients such as the Person Centred approach, which is part of the Humanistic approach, CBT, Psychodynamic and so on. I am genuine and competent in my work and I use my empathic understanding to be in my client's world. I also use unconditional positive regard to ensure I treat all clients equally.

I use my active listening and responding skills to ensure I don't miss out on what clients say. I ask open ended questions to help my clients probe in deeper and communicate pent up emotions impacting their day to day life.

It is a privilege to have the ability to help people go through difficult times in their lives, but what I love most about my career is the successful outcome of the counselling therapy I provide. I love being a counsellor simply because I love helping and supporting people, It makes the world a better place when more people feel positive and joyful and are able to help, care and support one another.

Everything that is said in the sessions are treated confidentially with a client led approach. My clients needs are prioritised, therefore I am willing to visit female and disabled clients in their homes in order to create the most comfortable and supportive environment. Please note that all home visits will be conducted under the current covid 19 guidelines.
