Dr Joe Grace
Psychodynamic clinical psychologistAbout Me
I offer a free 15 minute zoom consultation so you can experience what is may be like to work with me. There is no obligation to commit to therapy. At the end of the consultation you simply decide whether you wish to book a session and get back in touch.
I am an Acting Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist. I only offer online work via Zoom. There is a strong evidence base for the efficacy of therapy via video platforms and it affords greater flexibility for both parties.
I offer sessions primarily for people who want to change how they relate to themselves and others; people who have experienced trauma (with associated low mood and anxiety); and people who struggle with regulating their emotions.
I also offer clinical supervision for practicing therapists.
I work in private practice as a therapist and Expert Witness. I have trained in the key psychotherapies: CBT, Systemic, Person Centred and Psychodynamic. I have post-doctoral training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy: an approach evidenced to be effective where numerous other approaches have not.
I can offer assessment and time limited work to identify and address key issues that may keep people stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving. This involves practical solutions and coping mechanisms. I also offer deeper work
