I have many years of experience in different settings and establishments . I also with the NHS. I am an NHS IAPT Counsellor and my Private Practice is The WellBee’ing Lodge.
Since the Lodge has opened , we have expanded, we strive to offer a variety of different types of therapy as one shoe doesn’t fit all ! To be able to offer and provide a choice of modalities . We have a choice of therapists. All therapists are supervised , insured and are competent to practice, Also are registered with a professional organisation, this is important as unfortunately the counselling industry is not regulated.
We provide a friendly and understanding environment for children, individuals, couples and families. The WellBee’ing Lodge is a safe space both physically and psychologically to explore your emotional struggles. Working together at your own pace, we will work through your worries, anxieties, trauma, bereavement and losses.I believe we all have our answers within but sometimes we need a little help from someone that isn’t emotionally involved. At the WellBee’ing Lodge we offer therapies in many therapeutic models , these are Person Centred Approach, CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic and TA.
We also offer Life Coaching , NLP and Hypnosis.
You can decide what therapy is best suited to you , we can discuss this in the Initial Assessment appointment.
Therapy will involve looking at your defence mechanisms, coping mechanisms, unhelpful patterns of behaviour and past traumas that may have occurred in your life. I will try to enable, working together, to facilitate change in your life. The result being that you have a greater awareness of your whole being - Resulting in you having a positive outlook in your life whilst also improving your mental health and wellbeing.
What I can offer...
I can offer you a safe space both physically and psychologically Working together, at your own pace, we will work through your worries, anxieties, trauma, bereavement or losses.
I believe we all have the answers within but sometimes we need a little help from someone who isn’t emotionally involved.
I will offer a listening ear, not being judgemental and working with your best interests at heart, exploring and working through your emotional struggles.
I am trained in many Humanistic models, mainly the Person Centred Approach, CBT, Psychodynamic and TA. I also have a passion for Art Therapy .
I work Integratively; this means I draw from each model and work in a way that suits you best. You are in control of the pace that we work and what you want to explore in our sessions.
I work in a way that will enable you to make the changes in your life.

My Private Practice is based in Abbeywood. This is fully accessible and is on many bus routes and the train station / Elizabeth line is a 10 minute walk.
I do believe therapy should be accessible and affordable for everyone.
I always try to offer you an initial assessment within 24 hours.
I offer online, telephone or face to face sessions- this is your preference.
I have worked in various educational establishments as a School Counsellor and Specialist Mental Health Mentor - I offer my support to university students.
My training and experience also includes working within Bereavement & Loss, also working with older people in a Carers setting.
I have also worked with Mind in Greenwich.
Previous to my counselling training, I worked in Health and Social Care.
This is now over 30 years ago. From a very young age I was determined and destined to help and support people.
Although counselling is slightly different, I’ll be supporting you through your journey. At times it may be challenging, even making the first phone call is one of the hardest steps, then along with finding the courage to turn up! Take one step at a time, like I said earlier, at your own pace.
I attend many additional workshops and training courses ; this is known as continuing professional development (CPD). This is a BACP professional requirement. Although I enjoy learning and educating myself about new strategies and techniques.
My training and learning is always ongoing, in life we never stop learning.
Feel free to contact me or drop me a line, whichever is easiest for you.
