About Me

I am an experienced BACP-registered counsellor based in West Wickham offering a safe and private space for you to focus on yourself. Counselling can be extremely beneficial and enhance your quality of life.

Maybe you feel stuck and are not happy or satisfied with the way things are going for you. You may be struggling at work, having difficulty in your relationships with family or partners, wrestling with uncomfortable thoughts, distressing feelings and/or unhelpful behaviours. You may have suffered at the hands of another or be the victim of a sudden and distressing experience.

We are all living in the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic, which saw us have to isolate ourselves from friends and loved ones and make dramatic changes to our daily routine. Maybe you have been unwell yourself, or you are worried about someone who is. Perhaps your job has been affected and you are worrying about the future. Re-adjusting to working in the office brings its own stresses and getting the right work life balance working from home can also be tricky. Furthermore, we are all facing huge challenges with the rise in energy bills and the general cost of living. Perhaps you are struggling to manage, or feeling overwhelmed and fearful of the future.

The world is facing a range of crises and despite there being hopeful stories, it can feel as though the news is dominated by frightening events, human suffering, economic uncertainty,  geopolitical instability, natural and man-made disasters and ecological concerns. Whether you are directly affected or not, these things can be hard to process, affect how we function in daily life and negatively influence our perspectives on ourselves, others and the world.

If you need someone to talk to I would like to help. Whatever your situation, I am interested in your experiences and keen to work collaboratively with you to find your own pathway forward. I will give you my full attention and listen with empathy and without judgement or prejudice.

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I have studied different types of therapy and can draw on these to tailor my therapeutic support to your individual preferences and needs. I offer short or long term counselling according to what you feel would be best.

The clinic I work from is on West Wickham High Street served by a train station and multiple bus routes connecting to the wider Bromley, Croydon and Lewisham boroughs as well as central London. If you wish to drive, there is free on-street parking as well as pay and display.

Training and qualifications

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have over 17 years experience of providing counselling and support to both adults and adolescents. Although I use a variety of therapy styles, my main way of working is an integration of cognitive behavioural therapy, Egan's Skilled Helper model, psychodynamic therapy and humanistic therapy. I have previously worked in the NHS as part of a Talking Therapies service. I have previously worked in a local authority setting with young people and their carers. I currently work in private practice at a clinic in West Wickham and a private outpatients service.
