Jim Holloway Integrative counsellor , CB2

With 20 years of practical experience in generic counselling, including NHS primary care and corporate referrals, and over 10 years as an accredited therapist, I run a busy independent therapy practice, specialising in anger management for adult individuals and couples.

I offer conversational, creative, challenging and encouraging therapy using integrative psychology and drawing on a wide range of positive therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs.

What I value more than any technique or method, however, is being able to offer the essential therapeutic benefit of a reliable, professional, ethically confidential relationship. Good therapy is rooted in a certain relational stance by the therapist which is hard to define, but it certainly includes non-judgemental attentiveness, respect, intelligent listening and reflection.

Many of my clients (mostly male) refer themselves independently, sometimes finding me through professional directories and very often by personal recommendation from a friend or colleague. In addition, I have received referrals from GPs, Cambridge City Council, Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service, Cambridgeshire Police Authority, and local non-statutory employers. Private health insurers also refer their clients to my practice.

I am a Cambridge Supervision Training Associate and a large part of my practice is supervisory work with a diverse range of professional 'people practitioners'.
