About Me

I work with people at their level and have experience with clients on the autistic spectrum, LGBTQIA+ and bereavement, as well as many other besides.  My life experience is varied, having worked with the Health Service, and I have an in-depth understanding of number of medical and mental health conditions and how they are experienced in the lives of real people.

I work within a safe space, for you, and it is a place where we can establish an understanding and honesty, allowing you to start to tackle the difficulties you are having.  Sometimes it is so hard even to start to talk to a stranger.  I understand that and time and patience play a huge part in my work.

As our work progresses, and our relationship grows, I will work harder with you to help you find the reasons for your pain, and work towards your solution.

Training and qualifications

I am a qualified counsellor.  I work with person-centred, gestalt and transactional analysis, which means that together we work towards your goals, with an awareness of how emotions are 'held' within the body, and taking into account your past, and how it might play out in the present.

I am also qualified in other fields which compliment my work, and enhance the understanding I have of the internal struggles people have.

I have lived experience of autism and LGBTQIA+ and speak the language of acceptance at all levels.
