About Me

My name is Jayne and I am a Counsellor and hypno-psychotherapist. Enhanced DBS checked.

 My company is serenity-counselling.co.uk

I became a counsellor because.....

I was once in a very dark place, I thought there was no way forward, it was a counsellor that helped me understand what was happening.

So profound a gift needed paying forward. So i devote my time learning how to help YOU!

My experience helps You move forward.

I have counselled people, couples and groups from all different backgrounds, ages, and cultures for a very wide range of issues and mental health problems.

I allow You to bring what You need to the session, while I bring in a wide variety of methods to help You. I bring in the most relevant theories from my wealth of experience I have gained over the years.

A Counsellor should be continuously learning..

Professional services Experience:

My experience started in bereavement, at Oldham hospital. Where I learned that loss extends to many areas in life (not just the loss of a loved one or pet). It can be a loss of self identity, a job or leaving college!

I went on to work with addiction which brought in abuse, sexuality issues, self image problems, life skill problems, anxiety, stress depression. Working in this field can often brought in people who have had traumatic events happen in their life. I help them understand that trauma, and help them move forward.

I have up-to-date knowledge in young people counselling, and I am designated safeguarding lead trained and enhanced DBS checked. Young people today seem to more than ever have problems with their own self identity and self worth.

I have trained in relationship counselling. Expanding my professional knowledge to help those who are stuck in current and past relationships. I can help you understand your love language. Where you are in the relationship cycle and even fall in love again. This can be for individual or couples.

My most recent studies are in; autism awareness, nutrition in social care, mental health first aid, GDPR (cache level 2's)

Everyone can find answers within themselves. I help you find those answers at your own pace.
