About Me

My name is Humera and I would like to tell you little bit about who I am and what I offer. I hope to offer a safe, confidential and comfortable environment to allow the mind and body to heal.  I work from an attachment-based perspective offering psychotherapy and work with individuals from the age of 18. My practise is located in Berkshire and I am also able to offer sessions in London.

Whether you are just starting to explore your psychotherapy journey and have questions or wish to expand on your existing journey and would like a more in-depth discussion please do not hesitate to make contact so we can explore these together.

Training and qualifications

My journey began as a qualified social worker and I am passionate about supporting individuals to understand the route of their difficulties and finding a way forward. I have over 10 years of experience working in a variety of settings consisting of charities, local authorities and I currently work within the NHS. My work has focused primarily on supporting and guiding families facing a multitude of challenges in their lives. Due to my background in social work, I have used many approaches to work with families from systemic, strengths-based and person centred and do incorporate these in my current work as needed. However, my current work is underpinned by attachment theory. I am currently a trainee at the Bowlby centre studying attachment-based psychoanalytic therapy.
