Hayley Clark
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
When life gets tough and we feel lost, powerless, anxious and alone, it can be hard to know which way to turn. It can also be hard to know who to talk to. Who's going to listen and not judge and will they even understand where I'm coming from?
Feeling lost like this can be painful and confusing. Maybe you've experienced a physical loss through a recent bereavement or relationship break up. Perhaps you're experiencing a more conceptual loss of confidence, control and direction in life or perhaps you just cannot quite put your finger on it but you can't escape from the fact that you wake up feeling unfulfilled or go to bed wondering where your life's heading.
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which to talk freely and to be genuinely heard, to think and to feel, to explore and to discover. Whilst out in the world you may feel boxed in by the specific roles expected of you, in the counselling space you are just you and my role is to help you to use this time and freedom to reach inside, to seek your own answers and to help yourself to bring about the changes you would like to make.
Ultimately, we are working together to help you to regain control and inner peace in your life. It is a journey of personal growth, understanding and awareness.
I work using a Humanistic Integrative approach and am therefore able to use various styles of counselling according to what works most effectively for you in our sessions. My experience has included working with clients in a GP surgery, in the North London Hospice and in private practice.
