About Me

I have worked as a qualified Counsellor in full-time practice since 2009 and as a Supervisor of Counselling since 2014. Before qualifying I worked in the fields of mental health, addiction and family support, and as a yoga teacher.

I can work with whatever you want to bring to counselling. By listening to you carefully I aim to attune to where you are emotionally and to meet you where you need to be met. This might involve development of skills to manage your present life, the working through of past events or trauma and their impact, or exploring how to create greater meaning in your life as you move forward.

I integrate different approaches to help you the best way I can. These include psychodynamic, trauma-informed and person-centred approaches, cognitive-behavioural therapy and mindfulness practices.

The expression of emotion within the context of a safe and accepting therapeutic relationship can quite quickly help to relieve distress, and the growth of self-understanding and shifts in how you relate to yourself and others can bring lasting change to how you feel and the choices you make. For this reason I consider investment in therapy to be a valuable gift to yourself.

If you are interested in trying therapy with me, please contact me to arrange a free half-hour phone or video call. I currently have daytime availability on Mondays and Tuesdays in person, and Fridays online. If you decide to continue with me you will have a weekly 50-minute slot for as long as you wish.

I can offer Counselling Supervision weekly, fortnightly or monthly and provide a supportive relationship for you to explore your client work and personal processes and develop yourself professionally.

I work within the ethical guidelines of the BACP.
