About Me

I am an experienced and friendly Psychotherapist (UKCP, BACP) and Chartered Psychologist (BPS, HCPC).

I work with a range of presentations including anxiety, trauma / abuse, neurodiversity, bereavement / loss, and family estrangement.

My aim is to create a safe space where you can share and explore your story.  I welcome clients from all races, genders, sexual orientations, identities, nationalities and ages.

Sessions are usually weekly for 50 minutes.  I work online and in person.  My clients enjoy the informality and convenience of meeting online (if you are in any doubt, please ask).  For in person appointments, I work in Ealing, West London.

My integrative approach incorporates psychodynamic psychotherapy, humanistic psychology, and neurobiology.  More specifically, I use insights and techniques from a range of popular forms of therapy, including Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Densensization Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

If you would like to chat before booking a session, I can offer a short phone call (free of charge).

My background

I started work as a counsellor in London in 2008.  At the time, I was also running a small business, having previously worked in academia and broadcasting.  I then worked in various settings including several counselling organisations (as a therapist and assessor) and the NHS.  Today, alongside my private practice, I provide EMDR therapy for a trauma service in Ealing, and supervise doctoral research at Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University.
