About Me

Since qualifying over two and a half years ago, I have worked with adults in private practice and as a school counsellor across several secondary schools in Nottinghamshire. With just under a decade of experience working in the education sector, I have come to specialise in developmental theory within my counselling practice. This focuses on helping adults to shift old behavioural, emotional and thought patterns they may have developed in childhood or adolescence which are no longer serving them. This work can also allow the client to process past experiences and help them to be more present in their current lives and relationships. I have experience working with a variety of issues, such as: anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem, low confidence, relationship issues, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or ideation and more.

I am an integrative counsellor, meaning that I practice several different counselling modalities: CBT, Person-Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic Counselling, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis. This means that I can cater to each individual in relation to their needs, preferences, personality and history. I can work with a talk-based approach, a practical/ exercise- based approach, or a mixture depending on what you would feel most comfortable with. Depending on what you require help with, we can decide together whether a goal-based approach or open-ended approach would be suited to your counselling experience.

If you have any questions or would like further details, please get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
