Gestalt psychotherapistAbout Me
If you are feeling stuck, unsure, overwhelmed or confused about the choices you have made and your life, therapy can help. I offer a non-judgemental, confidential and safe space where you can explore, with me alongside, what it means to be you, right now, in the life that you have. My private practice is based in beautiful rooms near Chancery Lane on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and I have wider availability online.
I practice Gestalt Psychotherapy which has a core belief that we carry within us the potential to shape our lives and live authentically, given the right conditions and context. Sometimes painful experiences from the past can get in the way of fully responding to what happens in the present.
Working together we will explore how you make sense of the world you are in, make choices that serve you well and let go of what might be keeping you stuck and holding you back. Gestalt is a relational psychotherapy, which means that we sit and talk about what you bring, trusting that what shows up or comes to mind will be relevant. Gestalt psychotherapy can shed light on patterns in relationships, being focused on process (how you make sense of things) rather than exclusively on content.
I grew up in a small town in Ireland, have lived in New York and Los Angeles briefly, and have lived in London since the mid 80s. I began my working life in book publishing and newspapers ultimately working in organisations as a consultant in Transformation and Engagement.
