About Me

I wonder what brings you here?

What hurts?

What are your struggles?

What keeps you stuck?

Is it a relationship with a loved one? A parent, a child, a partner or a friend?

Is it depression, overwhelming feelings of sadness, loss of joy, sleepless nights, no desire to get out of bed, avoiding friends or family members?

Is it anxiety or panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, constantly worrying, creating worst scenarios?

Is it a sense of not feeling good enough, comparing yourself to others in a negative light, second guessing your actions, feeling judged, having a sense that your existence is a waste of time?

Is it that life feels overwhelming, work is stressful, you can’t get on top of things, you can’t manage everyday life?

Through my training, clinical work and life experience I have come to appreciate how challenging life is.

We all experience suffering to a greater or lesser extent throughout our lives.

A trained and experienced therapist can help.

Counselling or psychotherapy can shed light on our difficulties and offer a space to share things that have been too hard to bear.

I can help you to identify and highlight areas which are causing you difficulties and help you to develop new ways of thinking, coping and behaving in order to deal with problems and issues, pursue goals and manage the process of change. It is possible for things to shift and for a sense of well-being to re-emerge.

My Approach

I am trained in a variety of counselling modalities, and alongside talking therapies I can facilitate expression through different art mediums for when there are no words to express what’s going on.

I enjoy working with the imagination and with creativity, facilitating an organic therapeutic process to take place, a process that will be unique to you and your needs.

I have seen in my practice clients greatly improve their emotional wellbeing by developing insight, new behaviours, self-acceptance and compassion.

Everyone’s counselling needs are different. Some people will only need a few sessions, while others might be needing more long term counselling support.

Through the therapy process you can diminish suffering, overcome adversity and re-frame, reduce or eliminate distressing thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Ultimately, this can enhance your emotional well-being and interpersonal relationships.

Your first session

Often clients first come to counselling because they feel like life is getting on top of them and that their usual ways of coping are not working.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to get a sense of how it feels to be in therapy with me.

When we first meet we will explore what brings you to therapy and what are your expectations.

By the end of the session you will have a clear understanding if therapy is what you need right now and you will be able to decide if I am the right therapist for you. Finding the right therapist is a subjective choice based on whether you feel a sense of rapport and trust with the therapist.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me so we can begin to explore whether I might be that person.

To arrange a first session please contact me by phone or email. If not fully booked I will offer you an appointment within 48 hours or less. If I have no availability I might offer you a space on my waiting list or I might suggest you to contact some of my trusted and experienced colleagues. When you first make contact we will figure out together what will work best for both of us.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I hope to get the chance to get to know you, too.

Hopefully, the information I have provided has been helpful in informing your decision to pursue therapy and selecting a therapist.

If you have any questions or if there are other things you want to find out more about, feel free to contact me.

I offer online sessions.

I offer counselling for children and teenagers.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Training and qualifications

I trained to work with adults at Enfield College, holding a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have work experience in different settings, like NHS, addictions agencies and prisons. I helped people who struggle with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, parenting issues, relationship problems and many other unwanted thoughts and feelings.

I trained to work with children at The Institute for Arts in Therapy & Education, Holding a Diploma in Child Counselling. My training with children provided me with an understanding of different child development theories, neuroscience and the importance of play and secure relationships on the developing brain.

I have work experience with children in school settings and community centres varying in age from 4-18 years old. I helped children who struggle with anger, academic performance, bullying, exam stress, anxiety and relationships with parents and peers.
