Integrative counsellorAbout Me
Do you find yourself feeling anxious about facing the day? Or are you feeling depressed and finding it difficult to motivate yourself to do the things you feel you 'should'? Or maybe everything just feels overwhelming right now and you can't see a way through it.
Life can be hard, and sometimes when that happens you need some extra help. I'm here for that. As a person, I'm pragmatic, down to earth, open and honest; and I bring this to my work. Our work will be non-judgemental, confidential and led by you. But I also won't shy away from the difficult topics and looking at the things you're finding hard - to help you find a way through them.
I'm trained to use a variety of styles (different counselling models) to adapt the way I work, to make sure you're getting what you need from our sessions. I have worked with people with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, anger, life transitions, identity questions and trauma. Through my work with South Bucks Hospice and Juno Counselling I have particular experience with: loss, grief and bereavement; life limiting illnesses, such as cancer; addictive behaviours; disordered eating; and domestic and sexual abuse survivors.
The relationship is the most important thing in counselling, and you need to feel that your therapist is a good fit for you. So, I offer a free initial, no obligation, 30 minute phone call where we can get to know each other. You can contact me via my website www.tworoadstherapy.co.uk or email me via [email protected]. Please do not book this initial discussion through the site, as the site will take payment for it.

Counselling is my third career, one I was drawn to after several life-changing events in quick succession. Previously I was a Veterinary Surgeon and then a Senior Civil Servant. I like to think the threads linking the three careers are empathy for others, a desire to help make changes and a deep curiosity to understand.
