Effie Gika
Integrative therapistAbout Me
To get the most out of the counselling process, it is important that you feel safe, supported, and comfortable sharing whatever is on your mind. Therapy is about giving you a forum where you can do just that whilst being listened to, without judgement or disruption, which sometimes doesn't happen in our everyday lives.
My clinical experience began 8 years ago at the Sangam Centre and CPPD's counselling facility in North London, where I have helped a diverse client base with their psychological well-being, and I have been running my own practice for the past two years.
The approach that I use is integrative, which means that I draw upon different techniques such as CBT, humanistic and psychodynamic, which may involve exploring links between the past and the present to help you make the decisions that are right for your future.
The areas that I specialise in include anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship issues.
