About Me

It's rare for us to be able to take a moment for ourselves. Often our lives feel so full of obligations and demands on our time that we can feel overwhelmed - like we're treading water or simply frozen and immobile.

At these times, it's easy to feel that you're alone. Isolated. Or that there's no-one around who can help you move forward.

We can all remember times in our lives when we have felt something was missing. Times where we’ve needed assistance, but not known where to turn. We’ve been overwhelmed or exhausted; confused or stuck; lost and in need of something more that we can’t put our finger on.

I am interested in what has brought an individual to the point they’re at currently – what is working for them and what do they want to change. With a warm, person-centred approach I respect the individuality of my clients and help them to find ways to take more control over their lives without judgement or barriers.

Working with client's relationships and exploring how they connect with others, I help to find patterns that may re-occur; whether the client is aware of them or not in an open and collaborative environment. My work is tailored to the individual and I am comfortable working with anxiety; loss; depression; loneliness; hopelessness; work related stress; lack of direction and abandonment alongside a wide range of other feelings that can lead to us feeling stuck; out of our depth or in need of human interaction.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (813037) with a focus on Person-Centred and Psychodynamic counselling. I'm passionate about working with people and helping them to realise their potential; building relationships and working together at the client's pace towards a resolution to what has brought them to counselling in the first place.
