Carolina Rosa Astudillo
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
I know it takes courage to look at the ugly in our lives, to step up and act. I am a caring and courageous psychotherapist, and my aim is to help you find your own courage to bring the results you desire, whether they're specific goals or more general improvements in your life.
By reflecting on your life experiences, you will learn from the past, accept current challenges, and move forward with intention and compassion. At the right pace for you. I will be there right with you, listening, being present, whether you want to make new decisions or just reflect and feel heard, understood and validated.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Humanistic psychology, which in a nutshell means that I value and respect your unique circumstances and that I am ready to be real and connect with you, human to human. I will encourage you to explore your emotions, as well as your thoughts and thinking processes. And to learn about yourself, and to make your own decisions.
And now the ugly part, let me tell you that there is no quick fix: change, recovery, and self-development require time, patience, and commitment.
If you live with anxiety, general anxiety, health anxiety, I get it, it can get too intense and limiting.
Parenthood comes with an emotional earthquake, from conception, pregnancy, birth and beyond. The physical exhaustion, the new relationships, the unknown, the pressure, it is a lot.
Middle-aged women going through transitions, whether empty nest, marriage fatigue/conflicts or emotional exhaustion. It is the other end, and now what?
I also work with neurodiversity and the challenges that comes with feeling different in the world.
I worked internationally as a software engineer for more than a decade before I found the courage to embark on my own self-development journey, becoming a coach and then a therapist.
My cultural background is Spanish, and I welcome all cultural backgrounds into my therapeutic space. Acknowledging our differences and similarities, and those of the mainstream culture that we’re part of might prove helpful during our work together.
