Antonella Mercurio
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ALL SESSIONS ARE ONLINE (ZOOM, SKYPE). I HOPE TO BE RETURNING TO WORKING FACE TO FACE IN 2021.
In my professional and personal experience I have found that talking to someone who is trained to hear your concerns can be very helpful. It can equip you to better navigate present life struggles and possibly facilitate positive changes for the future.
Difficult situations and painful feelings are a reality for many of us. Sometimes we may not be able to makes sense of it all and feel unclear on how to move forward. Those situations may be overwhelming. We may fall into a destructive patterns of behaviour, stuck in a rut, and this will hold us back. The support we have around us might not feel enough, as it is difficult to open up without feeling judged or misunderstood. In this case professional counselling may be a way forward for you. This may offer a much needed fresh perspective, helping you to explore underlying issues that interfere with what you think, feel and do. Counselling can help individuals living with a wide range of difficulties, including:
-depression
-anxiety
-childhood and adult trauma
-self harming
-abuse
-post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
-post traumatic stress (PTS)
-loss and bereavement
-relationship and sexuality
-illness, pain and disability
-family difficulties
-panic attacks
-miscarriage
Counselling is a powerful instrument for growth and healing held in a safe and non judgemental setting. I hope that if you do make contact with me, you will feel free to talk openly about what brought you to counselling, express the goals you may wish to achieve and the doubts you may have about therapy. I will explain my policy on confidentiality, fees, cancellations and appointment times.
