Anthony Davis Integrative psychotherapist , SE1
COVID-19 UPDATE: I am continuing to provide therapy online for those seeking support during this challenging time. Please contact me to arrange a FREE phone consultation.
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, and a registered member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As individuals, I believe we have different needs when looking for therapeutic support. Through a holistic, personalised approach, therapy can provide beneficial improvements in mental well-being and the decision making that is right for us.
I provide short-term counselling and long-term therapy in an effort to facilitate growth, enable change and foster healing of the entire person. Work with my clients varies in scope and time-frame from just a few sessions focusing on a specific concern or concerns, to 'deeper' and more far-reaching therapeutic work which can last a year or more.
I have over 10 years experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist with individuals of various age groups and diverse backgrounds. Practicing in both the United States and the United Kingdom, I have worked with clients in the NHS and privately exhibiting a range of difficulties that impact their lives and cause them emotional and psychological distress.
The approach to my practice is integrative which allows me to draw from various therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to your individual and unique needs. I believe that you should be at the centre of the therapeutic process, and my role is to support you to find your own meaning. My goal is to help you develop the coping skills necessary to manage life’s difficulties, and access important support networks and resources to sustain overall well-being.
I specialise in working with a range of difficulties; some of which are below:
Depression or low mood
(OCD) Obsessive-compulsive disorder
(PTSD) Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Low self esteem or shyness
Bereavement and loss
I also specialize in working with the LGBT+ community, particularly those struggling with their gender and sexual orientation or those who have experienced discrimination due to their sexual orientation. I also completed significant therapeutic work with BAME clients, and supported individuals who experienced racial/ethnic discrimination.
