Dr Aneliya Gonsard
Integrative practitioner psychologistAbout Me
Hello. I am Dr. Aneliya Bakalova-Gonsard - a qualified clinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist. My professional interest and passion is to support others in overcoming life's challenges and achieving a meaningful, satisfying and healthy existence.
For the last twelve years I have worked with people from different age groups, cultural and social backgrounds. I have practiced clinically in the UK National Health Service, as well as in the charity and private sectors. My work so far includes psychological assessments, individual and group therapy, expert witness reports, as well as training and group consultations with staff. I have been a supervisor and consultant to staff working in the fields of mental health, social care and criminal justice.
I have experience in using a wide spectrum of theoretical knowledge and models of intervention. In addition to my qualification in psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults, I have received training in group and individual Mentalization Based Therapy.
My experience so far has taught me that each of us carries a universe of past and present experiences, emotions, thoughts, dreams, expectations and hopes. In my work with you, I use my knowledge and practical experience in the field of psychology and mental health to help you draw a map of your own universe. This map is a tool that could help you be more self-aware, and enjoy more satisfying relationships with others, and the world around you in general.
Every contact with one of you is a privilege and responsibility for me. If you think I could be of use to you, do not hesitate to get in touch.
