Allanah Johnson Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Integrative Psychotherapist
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
Hi, my name is Allanah, I am a Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Integrative Psychotherapist. I have a passion for nurturing young minds and offering support through challenging life events, by providing a safe and therapeutic space to enable children, adolescents, and young people to tell their own unique stories whilst enhancing their mental health and wellbeing.
I work with an integrative framework with a trauma-informed lens that enables me to draw from different therapeutic theories and practices as a psychodynamic approach, attachment theory, and non-directive play therapy, to ensure that each therapy session is unique for every individual client.
The heart of my practice is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship offering a person-centred approach to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental, confidential, safe, empathic space for your child, adolescent, or young adult and where they can start to make sense of their feelings and experiences. I offer the opportunity to talk combined with the creative arts including clay, sand, paint, and ink alongside accessing play therapy resources for younger children.
I have thirty years' experience of working with children, adolescents, young people, and their families in a range of settings including charities, education, and early years centres. Currently, I provide trauma-informed therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults at Lifecentre, a charity that supports all survivors of sexual violence and abuse, and as a school therapist at an independent school.
