About Me

I offer therapy online, face-to-face, or whilst walking in a park (Green Therapy).  Green Therapy can be useful if you would like help, but are not comfortable with the idea of sitting on a couch discussing your issues with a therapist.

My clients are people who have suffered a loss in their lives.  This could be a physical loss such as a bereavement, a miscarriage or other issues in pregnancy, redundancy, retirement, relationship issues; or it could be a loss of your way in the world, a sense that you are on the wrong path, that you have lost their purpose or direction.  It can be useful to have someone to help make sense of your new situation, to walk alongside you as you discover a new path.

I also offer couples and relationship therapy face-to-face in my consulting room.

Right now, we are living in uncertain and difficult times.  You may be struggling to find your ‘new normal’, struggling to cope with a bereavement, struggling to make sense of life after lock-down, or struggling with your relationships.  I can help.

Clients find me to be open, non-judgemental and easy to talk to.  Recent feedback has included “Thank you again for your kindness and energy - I know it's your job to be there for me but I am really cherishing the way you hold that space. You are a very special human being”.  My way of being allows my clients to feel safe to say whatever they need to without fear of how I might react.

There are many ways in which our view of ourselves and our future may change, and these can be overlooked by others at this time of worry around covid 19/coronavirus.   I also specialise in working with clients who are dealing with loss in many other ways, including

Loss of a loved one/bereavement

Miscarriage

Termination of pregnancy

Diagnosis of foetal abnormality

Relationship breakdown

Redundancy

Retirement

Chronic illness

It can be very difficult to talk about these issues, others do not know what to say to you, and may even minimise your loss, which can be very traumatic. It can be a great relief to speak to someone non-judgmental, who really listens and can understand the world from your perspective.  I would be honoured to assist you on your journey.

Training and qualifications

I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent's University of London.  I have a private practice in Enfield where I see clients online, face-to-face and whilst walking in a park.  Additionally, I volunteer in a charity supporting clients who have had a bereavement, and previously worked with a charity supporting clients who suffered issues with pregnancy.  I am registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics.

I have completed specialist training to be awarded The Grove's Certificate in Couple/Relationship Therapy accredited by COSRT at Level 5.

  • I also have a Masters in Health Psychology and worked for many years supporting struggling students in a prestigious London medical school.
