Tora Davidsson
Psychodynamic psychotherapistAbout Me
Our health and wellbeing come from having meaningful and satisfying relationships with others and ourselves, and from being able to process and come to terms with what is going on in our lives. By understanding and uncovering what is causing us distress, and by getting to know ourselves better, we can feel more empowered and in control of our lives.
I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working in private practice, currently offering therapy over the phone and online. I have experience of working with a wide range of clients in various settings; in the NHS, in the charity sector as well as in student counselling in higher education.
I am open-minded and non-judgemental in my approach and I’m always aiming to create a safe space for my clients to explore and work through what has brought them to therapy. I am interested in how experiences in our past impact on our present life. I also pay attention to our unconscious and how it shapes and informs our behavior, motivations and relationship patterns. By exploring and learning to understand this part of ourselves we can achieve a more balanced and integrated sense of self.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical guidelines.
