Sam Rawlings
Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
My name is Sam, I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
I understand how difficult the decision to seek counselling can be through my own experience. You may feel unsure whether it's the right move for your child and how long they can continue to cope on their own.
So many questions you may have, you may feel you and your child are a burden to family and friends and don't know who to turn to. I can offer a safe and confidential space to support your child in overcoming difficulties
Working together, I can help to identify their needs to feel empowered, They might be worried about returning to school, Impacts of Covid causing anxieties which may impact day to day life, I can help.
I am highly experienced working with children and young people, I have a background of working in Education settings, Nurseries and Children's Homes. I volunteered with Place2be and The Children's Society for several years so understand the kind of challenges which may arise.
Children and Young People may find it difficult to talk about their fears, feelings, so I offer alternatives to reduce any barriers through Creativity and Play.
I can be relied on, to offer support in a non-judgemental way to help your child break down their problems and work through traumatic situations at their own pace. Helping them to find a more positive outlook to life by listening, understanding and accepting.
If you feel this is the right support for your child, please contact me for a chat.
