Having worked in the NHS for over 15 yrs counting as a CBT therapist and low intensity therapist, I understand how difficult it can be for you to engage in therapy and better your soul. However, I have also learnt how giving time, knowledge, openness to explore what you are going through and where it has come from, in a non-judgmental environment can really help you overcome your fears, worries, loneliness and despair and feeling of feeling stuck in a rut of anxiety and or depression.
I work with people who are suffering from anxiety and depression. I use the therapy of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help clients work on learning to manage their anxiety and/or depression. I work with different kinds of anxiety which are PTSD (Post Traumatic Disorder including childhood trauma), OCD, phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder. Within this therapy i like to adopt a holistic approach via the integration of looking at health, lifestyle , diet, etc.
Additionally i can work with culturally specific issues which have triggered mental health issues in the Black Minority and ethnic communities.
Having been through mental health issues myself, my aim to my clients is to provide a holistic which will not only be using a trained therapy approach but also involve looking into the past to draw on behaviours brought forward now alongside physical health, socialisation, employment issues, relationships, financial issues to help mental wellbeing in relation to anxiety and depression.
Training and qualifications
Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy passed in 2012 from the University of Staffordshire
Before this i was also a low intensity mental health therapist since 2005
£55/per hourly session during Coronovirus time i can offer discounted therapy at £40 per session.
