Psychoanalytic psychotherapistAbout Me
I am an Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and also a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 17 years of working for the NHS and private practice. I am based in North London and I offer both online and face to face therapy. As a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I create a safe environment for my clients and aim to build a trusting relationship with you over time. I listen and try to understand your difficulties without judgement and I hope to get into the root cause of your issues. Expressing yourself through words in an accepting and non judgemental atmosphere, you are empowered to understand yourself better, be more accepting and in control of the difficulties within you. I will explore with you your thoughts and feelings in order to understand the root cause of your vulnerabilities. As therapy is a collaborative process, we will work together to make sense of confusing and troubling thoughts in order to gain insight and better understand yourself. The insight can lead to lessening of anxieties and low mood as well as improved functioning in relationships with others. You will be able to work through painful issues and life experiences and learn different and more functional ways of coping.
Children and young people can be helped to express themselves freely through an age appropriate therapeutic techniques i.e. play, drama and drawing. I also offer consultation and short term help to parents who are concerned about their children’s behaviour or emotional well-being.

Training and qualifications
I previously trained as a Clinical Psychologist and obtained Masters in Psychology at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. My interest in human development led me to study Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic in London, one of the leading training institutions in the UK. I completed this specialist and intensive 5 year training in 2008. Since then, I have been working in various NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health settings, including schools. I then continued to be fascinated by the human growth and I trained in Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the British Psychotherapy Foundation. I have been working in the NHS setting, the Cassel Hospital which specialises in treatment of personality disorders since 2012.My knowledge of psychological development throughout life time, from early childhood equips me to work at a greater depth with my adult patients and to better understand origins of their difficulties. I hold professional registrations in British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF) and the Association of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists (ACP).
