Integrative counsellorAbout Me
I am an integrated psychotherapist offering Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I focus on developing a trusting and safe relationship, which helps for us to complete deeper work. An integrated approach also allows for a goal to be held in mind that we work towards. The relationship is essential so that you feel safe and trust the process, which helps you to access the work more easily, and potentially quicker.
I believe in what I do and I am passionate about doing it. I work with a range of topics and fully acknowledge that it is a difficult process to be in a room with a stranger. I make sure that it is as stress free as possible, and adapt my counselling to meet your needs.
Our sessions will be entirely about getting you to where you want to be, using a number of techniques. We can explore the past and your experiences when you were younger or more recent events. I don't complicate things and I try make it as calming and relaxing as possible, whilst encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone with support along the way.
I adhere to the BACP's ethical framework. I have regular supervision and professional training to ensure that my knowledge is up-to-date and I am being challenged to develop my own understanding of counselling.
