Michael LipoIntegrative counsellor
I am an integrated psychotherapist offering a blend of Humanistic Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This allows for a strong relationship to develop, which helps deeper work to be completed. It allows for a goal to be held in mind that we can work towards. The relationship is essential so that you feel safe and trust the process, which helps you to access the work more easily, and potentially quicker.
I truly believe in what I do and I am passionate about doing it. I work with a range of topics and fully acknowledge that it is a difficult process. I make sure that it is as stress free as possible.
Our sessions will be entirely about getting you to where you want to be, using a number of techniques. We can explore the past and your experiences when you were younger or the more recent past. Or we can focus on the present. I don't complicate things and I try make it as calming and relaxing as possible, whilst encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone.
I adhere to the BACP's ethical framework. I have regular supervision and professional training to ensure that my knowledge is up-to-date and I am being challenged to develop my own understanding of counselling.
