Matthew Saunders Psychodynamic psychotherapist , RG1

If it feels like a struggle to make sense of what is happening in your life, perhaps in relation to feelings about yourself or in your relationships with other people (it is often both), then counselling can provide a secure, non-judgmental, and confidential place in which to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who has provided counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of people in a variety of situations for a number of years, originally in London and now also in Reading. I also work as a supervisor for Riverside Counselling in Didcot, Oxon. I am a registered member of BACP and accredited with UKCP.

Training and qualifications

I achieved a Post-Graduate Diploma (Merit) in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice  from WPF Therapy (London), having previously worked as a drugs and alcohol counsellor for The London Borough of Hounslow Drugs and Alcohol Team. I am also now training as a clinical supervisor.

My current fee is £60 for regular sessions of 50 minutes. I find that a little extra time can be helpful for the first session and the fee for this is £75 for an 80 minute session.
