Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
If you’re reading this, there’s something on your mind now, at this time in your life. Do you feel depressed, worried or anxious after a relationship breakdown, a bereavement, problems at work or family issues? Perhaps you can’t stop worrying about what other people think of you. Or maybe you’ve always felt there was something wrong and now you want to talk to someone. This might be the right time to work with a counsellor like me with life experience who won’t judge and will take your problems seriously. I’m a registered BACP member and I've been an Educational Psychologist for over 20 years.
Research shows that good counselling depends on the quality of the therapeutic relationship. That’s why I offer Person-Centred counselling, based on evidence that empathy and care make a good relationship and help you to grow. I work to create a confidential, safe place to experience compassion for who you are and help you find a new outlook on life.
My clients have said: ‘I just felt heard. That really mattered.’ ‘I feel like a weight has lifted off me.’ ‘My problems haven’t gone away, but they feel smaller.’ ‘No one has ever wanted to know how I feel before.’ I offer a free 30min consultation to see if we can work well together and for you to decide if I’m the right therapist for you.
