Psychodynamic psychoanalystAbout Me
I work addressing issues like displacement, abandonment, and alienation. I assist the client in their journey toward self-confidence and meaningful connections with others. The latter is often mirrored in our couple and friends relations: our way of communicating and listening. How do we experience living, loving, being with another person? What do we carry from our own family into our relationships? Anger, frustration, fear? What are our expectations of ourselves and others?
Over the years, I have witnessed how therapeutic work enables individuals to regain their balance and move beyond deep-seated anxieties and fears. The psychoanalytic method allows each patient to uncover their own unique answers. Although we may share similar experiences, the ways in which we navigate and interpret our lives are distinct, and so too are our solutions.
My role is to assist you in discovering your own answers.
I offer my practice both in English and Italian.
Anxiety can feel like a relentless beast, while depression often acts as the tether that keeps anxiety close. It strikes when you least expect it: lurking at night, waking you from sleep, or interrupting your thoughts during the day. Anxiety can blind and suffocate you, induce physical symptoms, and keep you confined under the covers for days. It can lead to a refusal of nourishment or, conversely, uncontrollable bingeing until you feel ill. Anxiety is akin to a cancer of the soul; yet, it can be confronted, discussed, grieved, and often resolved. Through this process, we can gain clarity and perspective, empowering us to feel more in control rather than overwhelmed.
