Laura Hunter
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
When life’s road feels bumpier and then bumpier again therapy can shine a light on the causes and the best way forward.
I will provide a safe, warm confidential environment, where we will identify, explore and work through what’s troubling you. Through our relationship and by working together we will discover and develop new ways of approaching life that will serve you better-ways which are less compromised by the past.
As well as private practice, I work in the NHS in IAPT as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I also work as a couples therapist with Highgate Counselling Centre. I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, a recognised British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited qualification. Additionally I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural therapy and I am a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
By blending the strengths of both psychodynamic counseling and CBT, I can provide a well-rounded and personalized therapeutic experience that addresses both the deeper, underlying issues and the practical strategies for change. This integrative approach can be particularly effective in helping clients achieve lasting improvements in their mental health and well-being.
