About Me

How can I help you?

As I don't know you or your circumstances yet, it's a difficult question to answer. However it is my first priority, to find out about you and what is important for you to get help with. I believe no matter what the type of presenting issue there is always an individual way to approach an improvement or resolution.

As a psychotherapist with considerable varied experience (based upon Cognitive behavioural theory) gained over 17 years of practice, working alongside my clients to alleviate mental health, psychological & emotional difficulties.

I would describe my style of interaction as open, non-judgemental & collaborative. I aim to work by your side to give you the support & strategies you need to feel empowered to move towards your future in a better state of mind.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is my main mode of work, but I employ it in my practice in an integrative non-prescriptive way with other techniques and modalities that might best benefit you.

My private practice allows me to offer one to one sessions on flexible terms. We will always devise a plan of treatment that is best suited to your individual needs using evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside other proven techniques. Putting you & your issues at the centre of the therapy is of the highest importance for me.

Children & Young People: My practice history also includes working with children & young people however in private practice there are special considerations that apply to Children. Such as different rules surrounding confidentiality & individual sessions, also additional  medical & ethical vigilance. So if you have a child who you think would benefit from therapy please contact me and we can discuss the most appropriate course of action.
