About Me

Whether you’re in crisis, struggling at this time, or simply wanting to experience a better quality of life, I can help you. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of approaches tailored to meet your individual needs and interests: I offer long-term psychotherapy, arts therapy, therapy outdoors in nature, and short-term work focused on specific issues.

I bring natural warmth and creativity to my work as a therapist, and I believe it is the relationship we create and shape together that forms the healing basis of the work.

I work with people from all walks of life, welcome queer and questioning folk, those exploring alternative lifestyles, and those who place social and environmental justice at the centre of their lives.

My Approach

Compassionate and curious conversation can support you to make sense of challenging or confusing circumstances, for greater freedom from painfully repetitive feelings, thoughts and behaviours. Together, we can create the space you need to come to terms with life losses, changes and transitions.

We can consider the relationships in your life, past and present – including the relationship you have with yourself, where self-esteem and self-image may be issues. We can explore the cultural, social and spiritual aspects of your lived experience.

Where words fail or get in the way, I offer the possibility of creative expression. Working with various art materials, music, movement and bodily sensation, we can give expression to our feelings and thoughts in ways that simply ‘talking about’ our issues may not touch on. Exploring our issues creatively can be deeply empowering. Working in this way supports holistic, natural change and growth.

Time spent outdoors in green spaces can leave us feeling more at ease, more available for connection, more vitally in touch with who and how we are, and more able to weather whatever life brings. If this speaks to you, we can explore working outside together or ‘walking and talking’ therapy.

I offer Nature Allied Psychotherapy in London Fields (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), and Queen's Wood Local Nature Reserve (Tuesday).

No previous experience of working creatively or outdoors is necessary – just a willingness to try.

My practice is trauma informed, and where necessary we will work with bodily resources to support your sense of safety, and your post-traumatic growth.

My work is guided by contemporary research into what makes therapy effective, and a deep interest in indigenous wisdom and earth-based spirituality.

I am a fully accredited member of the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC) and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Training and qualifications

I completed a rigorous 4-year training in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy at the Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education, passing with distinction.

My therapeutic work outdoors is informed by my immersive training in Nature Allied Psychotherapy, with the Nature Therapy School.

For the last 20 years I have worked therapeutically in a number of residential social care and NHS settings, including mental health and forensic facilities.

Having worked in Palliative Care, I am passionate about exploring ways of being with death and dying.

I am a qualified Open Floor Movement Teacher, and Therapist, and run regular classes and workshops.

I trained in Walk of Life non-stylised environmental movement with Helen Poynor, and have a passion for moving and being in the natural world.

Prior to my professional training I studied Comparative Religion and Creative Writing.
