Julianne Wren
Cognitive behaviour psychotherapistAbout Me
I primarily work with young adults, adolescents, children and families and help them to understand and cope with a range of experiences related to: anxiety, depression, relationships, transitions and other life stresses. I also specialise in working with Eating Disorders and have had extensive training and experience in this area. I use a cognitive-behavioural approach, combining acceptance-based strategies, mindfulness, and goal-oriented techniques. During our sessions, I will actively listen to your concerns, and teach you skills that will help you cope with your stress, meet your goals, and improve your outlook. This type of therapy is focused on solving problems and reducing and managing distressing symptoms brought about by anxiety, depression, or the stress of daily life.
My approach is interactive, warm and non-judgemental. I look forward to working with you. Please email or call to schedule an appointment.

Training and qualifications
I have worked with children and young people and their families for over twenty years, having worked for the NHS in the child and adolescent mental health service for the last ten years and I continue to do so on a part time basis. The rest of my working week is now in independent practice. I studied Child and Young People Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at UCL in London and am a clinical social worker by background, having trained in the United States.
