About Me

Since graduating from Cambridge University in 2000, Jennifer Cox has worked extensively in psychology roles in psychiatric and forensic mental health settings across London.

Jennifer completed her counselling and psychotherapy training at the University of London and the Tavistock Clinic, and is a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (conferring eligibility for the British Psychoanalytic Council). She is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (Clinical Psychology division) and has Registered Scientist status with the Science Council. Jennifer has an MSc in Applied Neuroscience from the Institute of Psychiatry (King's College) and is a member of the London Neuropsychoanalysis Association. She brings a fusion of neuroscientific and psychoanalytic thinking to her work.

Jennifer is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (accredited by the Professional Standards Authority) and offers a psychodynamic approach to therapy from private practice locations in Ealing and the West End. In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer is the founder of a global community for women called Women Are Mad. WAM was created with the aim of addressing the causes of frequently occurring mental health problems in women.
