Imogen Petit Psychodynamic psychotherapist , SW1W
I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working in Central London (Victoria) and Southeast London (Brockley).
I trained at WPF Therapy, one of the UK’s leading institutions for academic and clinical practice, and hold a postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Roehampton University.
My therapeutic approach is to offer people a space to share troubling or distressing thoughts and feelings with someone who is not only professionally trained to help unpack them, but who will be completely alongside them during the process.
I work in both a short-term counselling model (x 12 sessions) and also offer open-ended psychotherapy. An initial assessment meeting will help us to determine together which type of therapy is in your best interests at this particular time.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is a creative, collaborative process which can help to bring clarity and a greater understanding of how we have come to be the way we are. This new insight can bring about a capacity to see things differently and may allow us to feel freer to make choices about how we interact with the world around us which may help us to lead a more contented, fulfilled life.
