Heidi Livermore
Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
I am what might be thought of as an old school person-centred counsellor - to me, the client is the expert in knowing what's going on. My role, as far as possible, is to see through your eyes and get a real understanding of what's going on in your life. We will think about what you would like to gain from our sessions, and how we will get there.
When we are feeling anxious, sad, or angry, the world can feel like a lonely place. When our lifestyles, relationships and career choices feel more like an obstacle course than a chosen path, we can feel frustrated.
You don't need me to tell you what to do. In many cases you might already have a sense of what you might like to do, but feel that you don't have a choice.
In our collaborative therapeutic relationship, we will have a think about options, possibilities and potential, and consider what suits you best at any particular time.
Counselling is a journey - sometimes scary, sometimes thrilling, sometimes a proper challenge. When you are ready to take your first step, please get in touch - we can see if we're a good fit for each other.
