About Me

At the time of reading this you have probably scrolled through lots of profiles like this one and are now thinking "How on earth do I choose a counsellor out of all of these people who all say similar things?" It can be really tough to reach out for support in the first place and then you are faced with yet another hard decision!

I am a person centred counsellor which means I'm not here to tell you what to do. The way I see it, people who reach out for counselling often already feel like they have a ball of tangled wool in their head so I'm here to support you to untangle things in your own way and in your own time.

Having studied psychology before I qualified as a counsellor, I realise that the brain is a pretty complex thing and it is normal to need to reach out for help to understand ourselves and the world we live in sometimes.  Not everyone finds it easy to ask for support or even understands how counselling can help, but in my own personal journey, I have seen real proof that no matter what people face in life there is always hope to make sense of it with the right support.

That leads us to the question of whether I'm the right counsellor for you, and I guess no one really knows from reading a short profile. The one thing I can guarantee though, is that I have experience working with both young people and adults from all walks of life and I always do my best to meet individual needs and create a space where people feel safe to open up about whatever they need to. I believe in supporting people to the best of my ability and if it turns out that I am not the right counsellor for you, I will be more than happy to help you to understand what is the right type of support for you.

I am always keen to answer questions and queries, so if you are left with any uncertainty after reading this profile, please feel free to contact me.
