About Me

I am a psychotherapist who works primarily with adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years. I also deliver parent work and support carers to think about how best to support young people. I specialise in working with young people who are struggling with change, whether that be moving house, moving up a year at school, going to 6th form or university or your parents may be separating. Adolescence is often a difficult time, add a big life change and it can quickly become overwhelming. My aim is to provide a facilitating environment, where can we think together and identify unhelpful unconcious patterns of behaviour.  I aim to reach the core of your difficulties with the end goal of discovering what it is you need for your own personal growth and development. We will have an initial session and if you wish to continue, the next stage would be 4 sessions of psychotherapy - this allows you to have an experience of working with me, with limited commitment. Sometimes these 4 sessions is all you need to move forwards. At the end of the 4 sessions we can schedule Short Term Psychotherapy (typically 12 to 16 sessions) if that is what you want. We can then review your needs towards the end of this period. I am adaptable and always tailor my approach to what is most helpful for each client. I also can undertake work with parents separate to children or with families as a group.
