Cognitive behaviour psychologistAbout Me
Do you ever find yourself falling into the same unhelpful patterns - relationships, working too much, health - but don't seem to be able to stop this? Do you ever feel distress, anxiety, depression or sadness that can feel uncontrollable? As a psychologist with ten years experience offering therapy and counselling, often to individuals with complex needs, I am passionate about helping you to break your cycles and understand why they occur. This can include offering a safe space to explore any history of difficult experiences which you still feel effect you.
I integrate CBT, DBT, mindfulness and Schema Therapy in my sessions. Schema therapy focuses on understanding our lifelong patterns of behaviour, and how early experiences have formed unhelpful ways of coping, which we continue as adults. DBT is a therapy that helps individuals with Personality Disorder to learn skills to manage their emotions.
If you would like more information, please contact me and we can arrange an initial telephone consultation. I am aware that taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting, and it is normal to have anxieties and questions about this. I am here to guide you through this at your own pace, offering a welcoming, professional space to process your problems.
