Emma Haynes
Transactional analysis psychotherapistAbout Me
I am a relational psychotherapist with an interest in trauma, postnatal depression, depression, addiction, eating disorders and sports psychotherapy. My modality is relational Transactional Analysis. I have experience of all types of psychological issues and I have worked within the NHS as a group and individual psychotherapist for a drug and alcohol service and with a Rape and Sexual Abuse service in Hampshire. I have been in private practice for 4 years. I adhere to both the UKCP and the BACP ethical framework. I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and I strongly believe in the need to be supervised whilst practicing as well as the value of having my own therapy and continuing professional development. I believe in the therapeutic power of the relationship using this to help clients to discover the root cause of their difficulties and enable them to move forward in their lives to a more positive, life-enhancing position.
I enjoy working with clients on a one-to-one basis, in groups, in couples or with families.
My particular interest is in postnatal depression, bonding within families and couples, and the bond between infant and caregiver.
I also offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists and offer supervision groups which are mixed modality and ability as well as individual supervision.
