About Me

Hello, my name is Diana Simpson-Hinds, I am a Psychotherapist, and I am passionate about working with families.  I am aware, that managing a family can be challenging at times especially when there is a breakdown in communication.  It can feel like each member is speaking a different language or from another world.  This block in understanding can result in frustration as the tension builds making it hard to find common ground.

I support families who are having difficulties due to relationship breakdown, grief, anger and anxiety.  These feelings might leave you feeling at a loss because you do not know what to do.  However, talking to an experienced counsellor who is neutral might help you get unstuck.

Blooming Families was formed because of the work carried out when working in the private and public sector such as, agencies and in education.  As a result, decided to expand the services to families experiencing conflict.  Due to my personal and professional experience of similar challenges, it compelled me to assist other families.  What I do, is, I provide a safe space where families or individual members can talk about their thoughts and feelings to find a solution to get them back on track.

In my work, I utilise art and play as a method for self-expression whatever, is appropriate for you!  When working with the whole family, the intention is to empower each member to take personal responsibility for their self and feelings.  Treat each other with respect, acceptance and without judgment, at the same time, developing communication and listening skills to build stronger relationships. I also, work as an Affiliate Counsellor on a Employment Assistance Programme helping employees implement self-care for a healthy mental well-being.e

To find out more about my work and the services I provide you can call me for a free, fifteen-minute, telephone consultation.
