Daniel Dickson
Cognitive behaviour counsellorAbout Me
For years I knew that I was someone who had to have a career helping others. I always had an interest in psychology and I was often the person others would turn to for support.
What I love most is that I am living my dream job! I get to help others but still make money doing what I love. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of a profession that helps to heal and empower the lives of others. Because pursuing this job did that for me.
My strengths lie in my empathy and gentleness and reading between the lines in what I am being told. First and foremost, I believe in connecting with my clients through openness and genuineness, without judgement. I want to sit with you, as you are, and with patience and kindness reflect back to you what I observe and learn from you as you speak. I will teach you tools and techniques and provide education to help you better understand yourself and grow into the person you want to become. I will encourage and support you with each step you take until we agree that you are ready to continue your self-work without my support.
