About me
My name is Conrad and I am a psychodynamic Therapist and Counsellor working with adults and older adults in the North London area. I provide a confidential non-judgemental space where clients can in due course feel safe to talk freely about whatever they have been struggling with. Working psychodynamically although other techniques are often employed , which means we can explore the often unconscious elements of your thinking, behaviour and feelings with a view to helping you to hear yourself. This in turn should assist you in locating your suffering from a different position. I place a lot of emphasis on the working relationship as I believe this establishes mutual trust and lays the foundation for the work to be effective. I volunteered as a trauma support worker at Transport for London Tfl for 13 years, working with members of staff who had experienced traumatic events including person under train incidents and physical abuse. As a Counsellor and Therapist I have worked with clients experiencing various difficulties including: addictions, anger management, anxiety, bereavement, depression, low self esteem, panic attacks, sexual abuse, stress and trauma etc. I provide both short term counselling and open ended therapy according to what the client requires. I previously worked for MIND in Haringey, and I use to volunteer at Highbury Counselling Centre HCC where I was also a senior assessor. I currently work in private practice and also do some work for a couple of charities.
