About Me

I am a fully accredited psychodynamic counsellor/psychotherapist/supervisor with more than 14 years experience working both in the NHS and in private practice.

Based in Acton W3 and Hammersmith W6 in West London, I offer one-to-one counselling/psychotherapy on either a short or long term basis to those experiencing a wide range of symptoms and problems including:

  • anxiety and stress
  • bereavement and loss
  • depression
  • relationship and family difficulties
  • work and career issues
  • traumatic events, abuse
  • low self-esteem, identity, body image
  • physical health problems
  • life transitions including mid-life crisis, retirement

I also provide supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists on-line and in person, one-to-one and to groups.

As an accredited member of BACP, (this means I have a substantial level of BACP-approved training and experience), I abide by their professional code of ethics and practice, and hold full indemnity insurance. I am also a registered member of the Association of Analytical Psychotherapists (APP) and an accredited practitioner for BAPAM (British Association Performing Arts Medicine).

How does counselling/psychotherapy work?
I provide a safe, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental place for you to explore and work through problems and difficulties in order to foster a greater sense of well being.

We would start with an introductory session which gives you the chance to see if therapy might work for you, and which involves no commitment beyond this first meeting. During this session we would explore what you wish to get out of counselling/psychotherapy and how we could do this together. Therapy may involve developing new ways of understanding and coping with difficulties, relating present difficulties to past experience, and making changes in your life.
