Psychoanalytic psychotherapistAbout Me
Life’s uncertainties and challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, leading to anxiety, confusion, or a sense of being stuck. If you’re looking for a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, feel free to contact me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation. We can discuss your reasons for considering therapy and explore how we might work together.
You might have a clear reason for seeking therapy—like anxiety, feeling disconnected, or recurring relationship issues. Or perhaps there's a more general sense of unease or dissatisfaction without an obvious cause. Many people also struggle with the pressure caused by the expectations of people close to them or society as a whole and feel unsure about how to live in a way that aligns with their own desires.
Psychoanalysis offers a way to explore the deeper, often unconscious, layers of your mind. It helps uncover the unspoken beliefs, desires, and patterns that influence your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Through this process, you can start to question the stale beliefs that may no longer serve you and open yourself to the possibility of change.
My role is to support and guide you through this exploration—not as someone who has the answers, but as someone who helps you find your own meaning and direction.
I am a psychoanalytic candidate and a training member of the Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy (AGIP), with UKCP trainee registration and full insurance.
I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society. Additionally, I am a member of the Special Group for Independent Practitioners (SGIP).
Alongside my private practice in the E20 East London area, I hold an honorary position at Strides Highbury Counselling Centre, where I work as a senior counsellor and assessment worker. I also collaborate with Samata Health and Rise Above the Disorder (RAD) Charity, and previously volunteered as a therapist with the Psychosis Therapy Project.
My varied experiences have deepened my passion for psychoanalysis, allowing me to understand how unconscious dynamics shape behaviour. I’ve worked with individuals in psychiatric care, domestic abuse survivors, and young people affected by gang involvement, as well as managing a unit for adults with autism and complex needs. These roles have emphasised the importance of noticing how our relationships and experiences shape who we are. By exploring these dynamics in therapy, we can address the underlying issues that contribute to long-term healing.
