About Me

Hello, my name is Yolande, I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with over 20 years experience.  I am registered with The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist (BACP) which provides you with extra assurance that you will receive quality care and a professional standard of practice from me as your counsellor and psychotherapist.

I am a person-centred/humanistic therapist.  This type of therapeutic approach can really  help you to deal with and talk about difficult subjects and any personal issues that you may be experiencing.  More importantly, I can help you to move forward, counselling will give you the time and space to work through your problems and help you to regain balance and wellbeing in your life.

I can help you to overcome mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationships, trauma, negative thoughts and emotions, addiction and anger,

Your mental health and wellbeing is one of the of the most important things that you have.  It is yours and it is important to take good care of this at all times. I appreciate that this isn’t always easy to do, but many of the clients I have worked with find that it is far easier to achieve than they initially imagined when they have reached out for my support.

Please be assured that you will be fully supported throughout your counselling journey to meet your needs and will always be welcomed in a warm, safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment for your therapy,

In our therapeutic relationship you will be welcomed to participate freely in your therapy to meet your desired goals.  Together we will agree on how we will work together and how best to work towards your desired outcomes,

I work honestly, transparently and welcome your communication about anything that will support and contribute to the best counselling experience for you,

Trustworthiness is a serious ethical commitment and you will be able to trust me as your therapist in the counselling relationship to take care of your emotional, mental health and wellbeing and to practice ethically at all times,

Throughout the therapeutic process you will be my primary concern. I value each client as a unique individual and you will always be treated with care and respect,

Are you wanting to find relief from stress, anxiety and depression? Perhaps you want to work on healing, growth, personal development, or would like to find a more relaxed, calm and peaceful state of mind.  Maybe you need to find resolve or solutions to some of the difficulties you are facing, past or present,
